The regulations are enacted according to Article 23 of Organization Act of Council of Labor Affairs.
Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) of Council of Labor Affairs (CLA), Executive Yuan takes charge of the following responsibilities:
There are Occupational Safety Division, Analysis Method Division, Occupational Hygiene Division, and Occupational Medicine Division, in charge of responsibilities in previous article.
The Secretariat takes charge of items, including documents, stamping, cashier, miscellaneous affairs, and not belonging to any other divisions
IOSH places one director general on the position listed the 11 to 13th grade, to supervise general mission of the Institute, and one deputy director general on the position listed the 10-12th grade, to assist the Director to deal with overall affairs.
IOSH places one chief secretary on the position of 10th grade; four division heads, ex officio of researchers who have 12 to 16 persons, some five as 10th grade and others as 9th; office chief of 9th grade; 18 to 22 vice researchers and one senior secretary of 8th to 9th grade; 3 specialists of 7th to 8th grade; 16 to 18 assistant researchers of 5th grade and 5 to 7 officers of 4th to 5th grade, amongst 6 assistant researchers and 2 officers as 6th to 7th grade; and 1 to 3 clerks of 3rd to 4th grade.
IOSH establishes the Personnel office, placing one chief with position listed from 8th to 9th grade. Officers shall be distributed from designated personnel quotas
IOSH establishes the Accounting office, placing one chief on the position of 8th to 9th grade, to handle the items of annual budget, accounting and statistics according to laws. Officers shall be distributed from designated personnel quotas
Personnel with listed grades in previous Article 5 to Article 8 shall be those qualified by the Civil Servant Employment Law, and employed according to position categories classified in Article 8 of the Civil Servant Employment Law.
For business needs, IOSH may establish the Exhibition Hall of Occupational Safety and Health, with one chief ex officio of researcher. Officers shall be distributed from designated personnel quotas
The Act is stipulated and reported to CLA for approval.
The Act comes into effect on the date of promulgation.
